There aren’t many win-wins in life – so when you find one, you run with it. And Bon Appétit’s petite desserts are undoubtedly the tastiest win-wins I’ve come across in a while! Originally introduced in 2016, no one knew how popular these fun-sized desserts would become, although looking back it’s a total no-brainer. First of all, our talented pastry chefs make all our desserts in-house using only the freshest ingredients. Secondly, the desserts may be petite in size, but they are packed with plenty of flavor. You won’t be depriving yourself and you won’t feel guilty about your waistline! Told ya, win-win!
We’ve changed a few flavors – so it’s time to give you all an update, let’s get started…
First, let’s talk about the newest additions to the petite dessert team. Meet Strawberry Shortcake, Pina Colada and Chocolate Mousse…
Macerated strawberries layered over yellow sponge cake and sweet cream and topped with whipped cream and a sea salt chocolate almond bark.
Pina Colada (Non-Alcoholic)
Caramelized pineapple paired with yogurt, honey and chia seeds and topped with a toasted coconut graham cracker giving each bite a burst of tropical goodness.
Tried and true, you can’t go wrong with a light yet decadent chocolate mousse. Melted chocolate, whipped and cooled for the most perfect fluffy mousse you’ll ever taste.
Of course, there are a few flavors we feel sentimental about and aren’t ready to part with just yet, classics like our Key Lime Pie, Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cannoli, Mocha Macchiato, Maple Pecan Pie and Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte.
Key Lime Pie
Easily one of the most popular choices on the list, our key lime pie features layers of light, lime meringue and graham cracker topped with whipped cream.
Raspberry Chocolate Chip Cannoli
A delicious raspberry puree paired with layers of whipped ricotta and mascarpone cheeses mixed with chocolate chips.
Rich in flavor, the Mocha Macchiato features sweet cream and mocha mousse layered atop a moist chocolate cake over a butterscotch finish. It pairs perfectly one of our many delicious coffee drinks.
Maple Pecan Pie
There is nothing more comforting than a good pecan pie, except maybe the petite version made with layers of vanilla mousse, homemade maple pie crust and topped with candied pecans.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte
Is there any better combo in the world than peanut butter and chocolate? The answer is no, and our delicious petite torte proves it. It’s made with peanut-flavored mousse over a rich chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and roasted peanuts.
Like my mother always used to say, “Good things come in small packages”. I guess she was right, because wow, that is one impressive line-up of dessert options. My mouth is watering just writing about them. Now, it’s important to note Bon Appétit Restaurant has pretty creative pastry chefs on staff who like to change things up seasonally, so if any of these current selections are jumping off the screen at you, better pop-in soon. I promise it will be worth it. Winning!
